Commentary Of the Lego Advert
Commentary Of NXT Advert from Rory Martinez on Vimeo.
This is a video commentary of the final advert that we did. It turned out at like 15 minutes because we didnt really know whatto say it was much harder than we thought it was going to be.
Final Edit With Sound
This is the final edit of the advert. We are really happy with the outcome and think that we have produced a solid advert to the best of our ability and have learnt many things along the way.
Voice Over Script and Problems!
The voice over was a nightmare. We were having real problems with the sound of the voice and were contemplating putting a robot type effect over the top as the enthusiasm was making it sound a bit cheesy. In the end we decided that the cheese worked as we needed to sound enthusiastic about the product in order to promote the product in a positive way and relate to out target audience.
Superimposing the PC Screen

This is screenshots of the superimposing of the computer screen onto the laptop. We filmed ourselves interacting with the program and then using After Effects corner-pinned the footage onto the original shot wth the dull screen and then added overlaid and gradients to give a realistic look to the screen.
Recording the Sound Effects using the Boom Mic
Sound Effects and Soundtrack-Aims
We are going to use soundtrack pro and logic to create our own music and sound effects. We need the sounds to be clean and crisp. We are thinking along the lines of cheese poppy type music with a strong drum beat quite fast and catchy. We need the soundtrack to relate to the target audience so we really need to think about it alot.
Our Magic Bullet Looks!
Without Magic Bullet

Without Magic Bullet

With Magic Bullet

These are some screen shots of before and after the magic bullet. We think that it really adds something to the shots and makes them more striking and more tv like. We have added lights to target certain areas such as the robot and child's face. We have also intensified colours and increased contrast to make the image seem more tv like.
